WHAT IS YOGA?
Forget those images of acrobatic backbends and pretzel-like postures. Flexibility is not a prerequisite for yoga - it is an outcome. You are not required to be in good physical shape to do yoga. Anyone can practice yoga, and it's beneficial to all, disregarding shape, size, or age.

WHY YOGA?
Yoga is widely practiced throughout the world today and brings with it a variety of benefits. By improving physical strength and flexibility yoga practice makes your body supple and toned, helps to improve posture, increases your energy level and relieves pains and aches. It helps to massage and stimulate internal organs, and maintain a balanced metabolism, regulating weight and reducing cellulite. It strengthens and balances the nervous system and the glandular system, and releases "feel good" chemicals from the brain. One of the most sought-after benefits of yoga today is mental peace. Our lives are so filled with stress, responsibilities and demands that many people feel exhausted and unable to cope. Yoga is well known for effective stress release and for relieve of anxiety and depression. Offering physical health, mental well-being and spiritual awareness, yoga keeps you feeling and looking young and allows you to balance your body and mind bringing harmony into your life. By strengthening your awareness yoga teaches you to explore and appreciate yourself and allows you to make the most of your life. Yoga is a science of joy and happiness, of how to have real fun in life and to gain meaning and fulfillment.
